The Journey 2

When I reached Heathrow it was something around 4pm, we were a bit late due to the traffic and the plane had to go around in circles before it was granted permission to land. Then I went tru the customs (took some time but not so much), alhamdulilllah everything went smoothly, my serunding was safe!

After that I took the trolley to the central bus station (jauh jugak sebenarnya) and bought a ticket for the 5.25pm bus. When I was getting on the bus I met 2 Malaysians studying at Cambridge, a 2nd year Law student and a 3rd Year taking Physics. They were both Chinese and at Queens College. More importantly they were very friendly & helpful. They thought I was a fresher (baru nak start undergraduate) and was suprised when I said I doing Part III Mathematics (ok I'll explain more on this later). Come to think of it, lots of people have been telling me that I look younger than my age. Haha

When I first arrived at cambridge it was already dark, and thankfully they was an international student welcoming committee there to help me get a cab. Got on the cab to the Porters Lodge (its like the hotel reception- its actually open 24 hours) of my college. The first person I saw walking past me was a guy and I was thinking, is this really an all girls college?

Got my university card and then moved on to my block. This is the difficult part coz there was no trolly and I had to carry all my luggage somehow. I almost forgot all about the guy from before when I suddenly heard "Do u need help with that?" And just like that I got a 2nd year physics hunk to carry my bags all the way to my room. I repeatedly thanked him and finally he said "There was no way I would let a girl carry 2 lugages on her own when I was standing in front of her doing nothing" (not very sure of the exact words but it was something very close to that). I had feeling it's going to be great year, here in Cambridge.
